It has been noted that indigenous groups are struggling from unregulated deforestation and logging. Many of them no longer have access to clean water and natural food sources. Their rights as the landowners of Malaysia’s forest reserves have been stripped away without consent. Challenged with poverty and lack of governmental support, the Orang Asli are vulnerable and in need of help.
